I'm at an age when many women believe their best years are behind them. I hope to convince my "Sisters" that many more of those "best years" are waiting to be lived! I'm living proof it is never to late to live them. Not to long ago I weighed nearly 200 pounds and was being treated for a long list of obesity related medical problems. Thankfully there came a point in my life when I decided to keep my self promises. When I did...my life opened to a world of possibilities.

Trying something a little different....

I have thrown out my scale.
Well, I have actually moved it out of the house and now vow not to weigh myself but once a month.
This is a big step for me, a really big step.
For two years I have been reading the advice on the Body for Life website guestbook. So many folks have said, "throw out the scale. The scale lies....its all about muscle building and body fat percentages."

OK I am finally getting the message.
From this day forward I will guage my success by how I feel. How I look in the mirrow and most importantly how my new, smaller clothes fit.

I feel much calmer already!

Confession. I have been a slave to the scale, ever since I was a little girl and would jump on my Grandpa's old balance feed scale in the barn.
The scale has really ruled my life. Each day I had allowed it how to tell me how I should feel. UP a pound...feel pretty bad.
Down a pound. Feel like a million bucks.
How on earth did I allow a little machine to control my thought process?

No more. I am breaking free!
I'll keep you posted on this leap of faith in the weeks and months to come.

Now the question of the day.
Have you tied your feelings to a piece of cold, metal machinery? If you broke that pattern what were your results and are you happy you did?

Thanks.
Your BFL Bud,
Michelle
