I'm at an age when many women believe their best years are behind them. I hope to convince my "Sisters" that many more of those "best years" are waiting to be lived! I'm living proof it is never to late to live them. Not to long ago I weighed nearly 200 pounds and was being treated for a long list of obesity related medical problems. Thankfully there came a point in my life when I decided to keep my self promises. When I did...my life opened to a world of possibilities.

Down to the wire...

This is my last week of training before the Body Building figure show on Saturday at the Bloomington Jefferson School in the Twin Cities.

I am still at work this week (except friday) and still trying to fit in all the stuff you need to do contest week. Each day I am earning a greater respect to the men and women who do these things and do them well.
Along with goals, you have to believe in yourself and be so focused!
On these low carb days I find it hard to do that.....

But again, I have to say this training period which began in late March has been a real learning experience for me. I am learning my strengths and weaknesses, I have picking up a few new friends along the way...and I am still having fun!

Today I did two cardio sessions, an upper body workout...and I still have to have a tanning session.

Now it will be cardio---eating very, very clean....lots of water for the next couple of days. Then the cardio stops, the water dimishes and the pro-tan sessions begins! Oh and I have to fit in my posing practice. (man oh man...I sure could use another three weeks!) But I know that I will be in the best shape of my adult life on June 10th. I am competing with no one but myself. I have won the battle with myself already...thanks to Body for Life!

Today I weighed in at 135. I am 5' 8". I hope to drop two to three more pounds before Saturday pre-judging in the morning.

I'll try to blog again mid week.
