I'm at an age when many women believe their best years are behind them. I hope to convince my "Sisters" that many more of those "best years" are waitng to be lived! I'm living proof it is never to late to live them. Not to long ago I weighed nearly 200 pounds and was being treated for a long list of obesity related medical problems. Thankfully there came a point in my life when I decided to keep my self promises. When I did...my life opened to a world of possibilities.

How is your Body For Life transformation unfolding?

I hope your transformation is going strong. I’m sure that you are looking forward to those after photos...and have already found the perfect suit and sunless tanning supplies!
Remember---to much of a good thing can be bad. (I’m taking about sun!) It is the fastest road to premature aging around. And it is blamed for most skin cancers.
Please consider picking up a good fake tanning product. I used them in all of my transformations and was pleased with how they work.

Also---have you scheduled a reward to celebrate you success?
You probably know where today’s entry is heading.

Here are a couple of suggestions.
In October, the BFL Tennessee Chapter is planning a great weekend to celebrate our new found mental, spiritual and physical health.
Please check out the signup information and if you can plan to attend.
You can find the information on the Body for Life website under the BFL Club listings.

Second---consider putting down a payment to reserve your spot next summer when the 2nd annual Champions for Life Cruise sets sail.
I did and I am saving my $$$ now so I will be part of the fun and empowerment that only a large group of dedicated BFL’ers can experience.
Jerry B is hoping to fill the ship with BFL’ers---Jerry is one goal oriented man and I have no doubt he’ll meet that goal.
To find out more about the cruise, check out the link on this website.

The way I see it...you have a little less than a year to get swim suit ready. More than enough time!

Can’t wait to see you in Tennessee. If you can’t make that trip---please be on board when the Champions for Life cruise sets sail!
Better yet--make a self-promise to attend both events! And kee that promise...you are worth it!

Have a great BFL day!
Your buddy,
Michelle

Self talk....and then there's the truth.

What is holding you back from getting the rewards you deserve in life.
(Rewards that include health, happiness, better relationships...and of course your best Body for Life?)

Its funny how our thoughts and self-talk can throw a monkey wrench into the works---grinding our progress to a complete hault.

I got to thinking about all of this today when I went out with my camera crew to shoot a promo involving Heart Health. We were out on the Lakewalk in Downtown Duluth. It was sunny and 80 degrees...people were out walking with their kids, their dogs...others were rollerblading and biking. Lake Superior never looked so beautiful!

As part of my promo I had to wear my gym clothes. They seemed tight...(spandex usually is lol) and I was feeling fat. It's a thought I often get after a big free day. Today that feeling put me into a funk and as a result I was having difficulty with my script...which talked about the importance of exercise, nutrition and those annual physical checkups.

I muffed about 30 takes. The script was only about 15 seconds worth of words...that normally I would have had no problem memorizing and delivering with feeling.

Well, between the 30 and 31 take...a group of women walked by. They smiled and then took a double take. One said..."Oh my, I watch you on tv all the time. I never realized just how tiny your are!"

Her words were just the opposite of what I had been telling myself all morning. I took a moment to fully understand exactly what was going on.
And then it dawned on me. It took a complete stranger to tell me something that my own thoughts wouldn't allow myself to see in the mirror this morning.

When you start beating yourself up with self-defeating messages...find someone you trust or maybe a complete stranger if you dare... and ask them how you look.
It might must turn around your day--or at the very least...allow you to hit your marks and say the right words to yourself and the camera with feeling.

Have a great day,
Michelle
